ABOUT THE GTUG

Anyone running HPE NonStop faces questions that only other NonStop users truly understand. The GTUG brings exactly these people together — in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, and beyond.

Who We Are

The German NonStop User Group e.V. (GTUG) is the independent community of interest for users of HPE NonStop servers in the German-speaking world. Founded in 1980, registered in the Munich association register — and for over four decades the central platform for exchange, further education, and networking within the NonStop community.

The GTUG sees itself as:

  • A forum for open information and experience sharing among users
  • A channel for current information from Hewlett Packard Enterprise
  • A representative body for users in relation to HPE

The association bodies are the members’ assembly, the board, and the advisory council. The duties, rights, and obligations of members are governed by the association’s statutes. The GTUG is financed exclusively through membership fees and conference fees.

Since 2009, the GTUG has been affiliated with CONNECT Deutschland e.V. as an economically independent organization — membership there is separate and independent from GTUG membership.

What We Offer

Every year, the GTUG organizes a conference for the NonStop community — alternating between: the eGTUG European NonStop HotSpot as an international, English-language conference for all of Europe (even years), and the GTUG Conference as a German-language regional conference for the DACH region (odd years).

Each event is co-hosted by a member company, which is why the location changes every time. The program of both formats includes: technical presentations by users, HPE representatives, and external experts; exhibitions by software companies in the NonStop space; facility tours at the respective co-hosting company (where possible); and space for personal exchange and networking.
