GTUG Regional Autumn Conference

The 100th GTUG NonStop Autumn Conference took place once again at the Hewlett Packard Enterprise premises on the outskirts of Stuttgart.

The conference was regionally focused as scheduled (targeting participants from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland) and offered an excellent opportunity for in-depth information sharing and discussion in an intimate setting. A series of interesting presentations certainly made the trip to Böblingen worthwhile. Speakers included: Mr. Mathai Philip from HPE EMEA, Mr. Andreas Gratz from Aluminium Norf, Messrs. Bernhard Vey and Roland Lupus from DB Systel, Messrs. Marcus Pullen and Holger Villringer from HPE Germany, and Dr. Werner Alexi from CS Software.

The day concluded with an extraordinary general meeting of GTUG e.V. The meeting was necessary because the 2024 remote assembly had not been recognized by the Munich Register Court for formal reasons. On the evening before the conference, participants were able to get into the spirit of the event over lively conversation.

We would like to warmly thank HPE for their hospitality. Our thanks go to all colleagues who contributed to the success of the event, both in front of and behind the scenes. As always, the agenda with presentations can be accessed via the “Presentations” tab above.

GTUG Regional Autumn Conference

Unfortunately, the 2024 Autumn Conference, and with it the general members’ meeting, had to be cancelled due to insufficient attendance. It would have been the 99th conference!

We deeply regret this decision, as we had been looking forward to exchanging ideas with you. At the same time, we would like to emphasize how important it is for as many of you as possible to participate in the upcoming online members’ meeting, where the future of the GTUG will be discussed and important decisions made to continue and strengthen the group.

eGTUG European NonStop HotSpot

We’re back in Berlin 2024!

As scheduled, the internationally oriented “eGTUG European NonStop HotSpot/IT Symposium 2024 – Conference & Exhibition” is organized by the HPE user groups German NonStop User Group e.V. and Connect Deutschland e.V. Get informed at the largest and most significant European HPE NonStop event of 2024 on topics including HPE NonStop, HPE, and current IT developments. An international group of speakers, exhibitors, and participants awaits you.

The eGTUG European NonStop HotSpot will take place from April 8–10, 2024 at Hotel Steigenberger am Kanzleramt (the Radisson hotel is not yet available again due to the burst aquarium).

The 97th GTUG NonStop Autumn Conference and IT Symposium 2023 took place once again at Hewlett Packard Enterprise near Stuttgart.

The conference was regionally focused (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) and offered a great opportunity for intensive information exchange in an intimate setting. The format was changed to a one-day event with a joint dinner on the eve of the conference.

Topics included: reports from TBC Technical Boot Camp 2023 in Denver, presentations on “GreenLake for LLMs with Aleph Alpha” (AI), “Large Native Objects in SQL/MX from an Application Programmer’s Perspective,” “AI as Support for Studying HPE Manuals,” as well as current developments at HPE and HPE NonStop, user experience reports, and contributions from HPE software partners. The topic of AI attracted particularly broad interest.

On the evening of September 26th, there was an opportunity for informal exchange during a visit to “Motorworld Böblingen – Classic Car Experience” followed by dinner at the “Wichtelbrauerei.”

The GTUG NonStop 95th Autumn Conference and IT Symposium 2022 took place at Hewlett Packard Enterprise near Stuttgart.

After two years, we were once again able to welcome guests to an in-person event. Current developments at HPE,  in particular the HPE GreenLake platform, HPE NonStop, technical innovations, user experience reports, and contributions from HPE software partners were the focus of the conference.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the 93rd GTUG conference could unfortunately not take place in person and was held as a virtual Zoom conference instead.

Approximately 80 registrations were recorded, with an average of 50 participants present in the Zoom meeting.

Topic: HPE NonStop in Times of the Pandemic

Due to the ongoing pandemic, the 92nd GTUG Spring Conference 2021 could not take place in person and was held as a digital event as part of the “IT Symposium 2021” together with HPE user group Connect Deutschland e.V.

Two streams were offered focusing on the respective key topics of each user group. 166 registrations and 139 attendances were recorded.
